Originally introduced in 2013, this limited annual release continues to captivate audiences nationwide, with availability in over 41 states. Brewed and barrel-aged with a richly spiced pumpkin butter containing cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice, this beer beautifully embodies the sensory experience of the changing seasons. The addition of freshly decanted Kentucky bourbon barrels enhances the beer’s ABV to 10% while maintaining its flavor profile without excessive sweetness, ensuring a thoughtfully balanced and refreshing pumpkin beer experience. The Commonwealth of Kentucky borders several Midwestern and Southeastern states, providing ideal access to a variety of agricultural products, including pumpkins, which are prominent in many of the neighboring Northern states. In true Lexington fashion, the brewery drew inspiration from local agriculture and incorporated pumpkin into a strong ale, eventually aging it in bourbon barrels.
