Our newest releases showcase the best of blending through innovation and exploration. The Discovery Series returns with a new twist, highlighting our most Rye-forward expression to date and taking it a step further by finishing with custom-selected oak staves. We also take you on an international journey with a first-of-its-kind in global spirits, the Fercullen collaboration in partnership with the Powerscourt Distillery in Wicklow, Ireland.
Our Discovery Series pushes the boundaries of whiskey innovation with each release, but Series #8 takes the program to a new level with our most complex creation to date. We start with an artfully crafted blend of Kentucky Bourbon, two Indiana ryes and aged Canadian whiskey. We then add a custom selection of five oak staves that were created specifically to enhance the unique flavor of the original blend. The staves provide nuances that range from French toast to Rioja barrels, and the result is a celebration of innovation and a spirit bursting with flavor.
Tasting Notes: Maple, dark chocolate, baked cherry and toasted oak create a captivating, complex aroma. The palate presents rye spice with luscious oak undertones that lead to a luxurious, long-lasting finish.
The Fercullen, meaning “Men of the Hills” in Gaelic, is the first of its kind in global spirits and a true transatlantic effort from two historic whiskey cultures. We collaborated with the Powerscourt Distillery in Wicklow, Ireland to create this release by meticulously shipping bourbon blends and Irish whiskey to and from Ireland until we arrived at a perfect union. The result is a blend that truly celebrates the tradition of both countries, highlighting a beautiful bourbon blend and an exquisite 21-year Irish single malt to create a breathtaking and inimitable pour. Tasting Notes: Traditional aged Irish whiskey notes of honeyed malt, lemon peel and ginger meet classic Kentucky bourbon aromas of vanilla, dark chocolate and roasted peanuts. The palate unifies and intensifies the flavors, leading to a magnificent, celebration of authentic flavor.
