Bluegrass Distillers Announces Opening of New Tasting Room and Shop at Elkwood Farm

Lexington, KY – Lexington-based Bluegrass Distillers is excited to announce the opening of its new tasting room and gift shop at Elkwood Farm beginning Friday, October 20, 2023. The tasting room and shop are located at 158 W Leestown Road in Midway, KY, inside the main residence of the historic Elkwood Farm, a beautifully restored mansion from 1835.

The distillery is currently in the process of moving its operations to the Midway property, which includes a state-of-the-art 36″ column still and 10 barrel warehouses. This move will allow Bluegrass Distillers to expand its production capabilities and continue crafting meticulously distilled spirits. Once construction is completed in early 2024, visitors will also have the opportunity to learn about the production process through the “grain to glass” experience.

Bluegrass Distillers at Elkwood Farm is scheduled to open on October 20, 2023. During the fall season, its regular operating hours will be from 10am to 5pm on Fridays and Saturdays. The Downtown Lexington location of Bluegrass Distillers will continue to operate under normal hours, seven days a week, serving as the main location for the time being.
