Bluegrass Distillers™ Celebrates Release of Straight Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey

On Saturday, March 3rd from 10:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., Bluegrass Distillers™ will release their first batch of Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey at its distillery located at 501 West 6th St. #165, Lexington, KY.

To celebrate their Straight, Bluegrass Distillers™ will have live bluegrass music, free food and signature cocktails.

The mash bill for this straight bourbon is 75% yellow corn, 15% rye and 10% malted barley.

Bluegrass Distillers™ started distilling the first batch of bourbon in 2013 and initially opened to the public with a traditional rye influenced bourbon in November of 2015.  Due to its small size, Bluegrass Distillers™ is able to experiment and release small batch bourbons and other whiskeys, including rye and a malt whiskey. They joined the Kentucky Distillers Association in 2014 and were added to the Craft Bourbon Trail™ just last year.

Bluegrass Distillers™ offers tours and tastings on Wednesdays-Sundays.
