Casey Jones Distillery Secures First Contract As Bourbon Producer For B. H. James Distillers

June 21, 2023

Major Milestone for Distillery and Hopkinsville, KY

Hopkinsville, KY (June 21, 2023) – Casey Jones Distillery, a family-owned distillery known for its authentic, award-winning bourbons and moonshines, announced today that it has entered into its first contract as a bourbon producer for B. H. James Distillers, Adairville, KY.

This landmark deal comes on the heels of a $2 million expansion at Casey Jones Distillery, which included the addition of a 1,000-gallon hybrid pot still, a 200-gallon custom-made square pot “Grandfather Still,” a new bottling line, and a new 3,200-barrel traditional rickhouse.

The contract represents a significant milestone not only for Casey Jones Distillery but also for Hopkinsville Kentucky and the Western Kentucky region, further solidifying its role in Kentucky’s renowned bourbon industry and its commitment to regional growth.

“We are excited to work with B. H. James Distillers and help them make their amazing whiskies,” said Arlon Casey Jones, founder, and co-owner of Casey Jones Distillery. “We have a lot in common with them as craft distillers and as proud Kentuckians.”

“We are grateful to Casey Jones Distillery for their support and assistance in our craft distilling journey,” said Shawn McCormick, owner of B. H. James Distillers. “We hope to create a lasting partnership that will benefit both of our businesses, our customers, our region and state.”

Under the terms of the agreement, Casey Jones Distillery will begin distilling and storing barrels of Kentucky bourbon for B. H. James Distillers starting in July. While details of the agreement remain confidential, the contract underscores both distilleries’ commitment to supporting the growth and evolution of Kentucky’s craft distillery industry.

This contract aligns with Casey Jones Distillery’s commitment to creating jobs, with plans to hire an additional 10 full-time employees over the next four years. This not only bolsters the local economy but also opens avenues for locals to get into the now $9 billion bourbon industry.

Casey Jones Distillery is actively seeking additional contracts for distillation and intends to offer approximately 500 barrels per annum to non-producing distilleries (NPDs) and investors, creating an opportunity for growth and partnership within the industry.
