FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (March 22, 209) – – – Louisville-based Copper & Kings American Brandy Co. announces its official sponsorship of the city’s championship soccer team, Louisville City Football Club.

Louisville City is joining Copper & King’s Butchertown neighborhood with its new $70+ million stadium currently under construction and set to open in 2020.

“Welcome to the Slaughterhouse,” says Copper & Kings founder, Joe Heron. “We have been enthusiastic and vocal supporters of the football team, and we have always been, and always will be fans of the club first and foremost. This is our team, the fans are our people, and the culture of the club meshes perfectly with ours.”

Louisville City President, Brad Estes says, “Copper & Kings has been with us step by step, side by side and in March 2020, we will be neighbors in our new Butchertown stadium home, and we couldn’t be happier to have the world’s best brandy company as our partner. Our club shares the same spirit of energy and enthusiasm and natural creativity, but this is also a bond of friendship – we just like those folks.”

“Soccer played well, with rhythm and elegance, as well as power and grace, is a perfect metaphor for our American Brandy,” said Copper & Kings Creative Director, Ron Jasin with typical creative fulmination and illumination.

About Louisville City Football Club:

Since starting play in 2015 as Kentucky’s only fully professional soccer club, Louisville City FC has quickly established a reputation both for winning on the pitch and solid fan support off of it. LouCity, as we’re often referred to, is a member of the USL Championship Division, now sanctioned Division II by U.S. Soccer. In 2018, Louisville City FC became the first team in modern USL history by win back-to-back championships. LouCity currently plays home games at Louisville Slugger Field, a converted minor league baseball stadium, but construction is underway on a new 11,500-seat, $70+ million-dollar stadium in Louisville’s Butchertown neighborhood. The stadium is scheduled to be complete by March 2020, in time for the next USL season. Contact:
