Evan Williams Cherry and Cinnamon Reserves to Add New Sizes

BARDSTOWN, KY—Heaven Hill Distilleries, Inc., the country’s largest independent family-owned and operated spirits producer and marketer, announces the release of additional new sizes of Evan Williams Cherry and Cinnamon Reserve Kentucky Liqueurs. Launched in September 2010 and last February, respectively, Evan Williams Cherry and Cinnamon Reserves marry extra-aged Evan Williams Bourbon with natural cherry and cinnamon flavor. Bottled at 70 proof, and previously available in only a 750ml and 50ml size, Evan Williams Cinnamon Reserve will now be available in a 1.0 liter and 375ml sizes, and Evan Williams Cherry Reserve will add a 1.0 liter size.

The remarkable sales success of all the Evan Williams Reserve products, led by the two-time Impact “Hot Prospect” Honey Reserve with over 70,000 9-liter cases sold in 2011, has led to consumer and trade demand for additional sizes, all of which carry the same labeling and black and yellow graphics as the existing sizes. The additional sizes continue to leverage the remarkable sales success of Evan Williams, the country’s—and world’s—second-leading selling Kentucky Straight Bourbon, and also leverage the overall success of the flavored whiskey segment, which according to Nielsen was the fastest-growing spirits type in the US market in 2012.

The new sizes, with a suggested retail price of $18.99 for the 1.0 liter and $3.75 for the 375ml, are both bottled at 35% alcohol/volume or 70 proof and are now available in nearly every national market.
“The continuing success of Evan Williams Honey Reserve, and now Cherry and Cinnamon Reserve, has necessitated that we look at additional sizes, and the 1.0 liter and 375ml sizes were the most logical extensions,” stated Susan Wahl, Brand Manager for Evan Williams at Heaven Hill. “Aside from giving the consumer more convenient options at the shelf, the additional sizes help create more facings and improve our display power, and the 1.0 liter will be ideal for many on-premise accounts.”
