KDA Statement on Interlocks

“Tonight, the Kentucky General Assembly saved lives. The KDA and its 27 members applaud lawmakers on the passage of Senate Bill 133, a tough new tool in the fight against drunken driving. Evidence shows that interlocks are highly successful in preventing alcohol-impaired driving, and their effectiveness is maximized when tied to education and treatment. We are proud to have been a strong and vocal supporter of this comprehensive effort, and we offer our thanks and congratulations to Rep. Dennis Keene and Sen. Morgan McGarvey for their outstanding leadership.”
