KBA Teams with Bourbon & Beyond to Bring Indie Rock Bands to Louisville

For Immediate Release – March 30, 2018

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Kentucky Distillers’ Association today announced that it is partnering with the Bourbon & Beyond festival to bring two live concerts to the KDA’s Kentucky Bourbon Affair™ fantasy camp in June.

Real Estate, an indie rock band out of Brooklyn, will appear at Headliners Music Hall with Habibi, on Wednesday, June 6, presented by Bourbon & Beyond and 91.9 WFPK. The entities have also collaborated to bring Louisville favorite Tony and the Tan Lines to Headliners Friday, June 8, for a second Kentucky Bourbon Affair Concert.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, March 30, at 10 a.m. EDT at headlinerslouisville.com.

We’re proud to partner with Danny Wimmer Presents and add live music to our Kentucky Bourbon Affair showcase,” KDA President Eric Gregory said. “It’s a perfect complement to our one-of-a-kind events featuring Kentucky’s unique Bourbon culture.”

The fifth annual Kentucky Bourbon Affair kicks off June 5, offering unique experiences across the Commonwealth. The six-day Bourbon fantasy camp is comprised of more than 45 events from 17 different distilleries. Learn more at www.kybourbonaffair.com.

Danny Wimmer Presents, creators of Louder Than Life, one of America’s premier hard rock destination festivals, last year added Bourbon & Beyond to their Louisville line-up, with heavyweight headliners Stevie Nicks and Eddie Vedder.

Held on back-to-back weekends in September, the first-ever Bourbon & Beyond and the fourth annual Louder Than Life drew a combined 110,000 people to Champions Park in 2017. In January, DWP announced a 10-year lease for Champions Park and plans to continue the annual Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond festivals, with a future country music festival now in development.

I love attending the Kentucky Bourbon Affair™,” says DWP’s Danny Wimmer. “It’s such a revered event and is always a great time. I am so proud that my company has been invited to participate in the Kentucky Distillers’ Association’s incomparable celebration of Bourbon.”

Launched in 2014, the Kentucky Bourbon Affair each year welcomes thousands of Bourbon aficionados, enthusiasts and visitors to the Commonwealth for a week of exclusive experiences, rare tastings and culinary events at the world’s most famous distilleries.

Gregory said with all of the smaller, exclusive experiences offered, the live music events give the KBA a chance to engage more of the community and gain a new audience. “Kentucky Bourbon brings people together, and that is what the Kentucky Bourbon Affair is all about,” Gregory said. “We appreciate the investment that DWP has made in our community and partnership in promoting the Kentucky Bourbon Affair and our signature industry.
