Kentucky Bourbon Festival® To Host Community Events In Celebration of National Bourbon Day
Tickets for Kentucky Bourbon Festival community events are now available for purchase

(BARDSTOWN, KY) April 22, 2019- As one of the Commonwealth’s leading festivals, the twenty-eighth annual Kentucky Bourbon Festival® is gearing up for the occasion with 4 community events sure to peak any bourbon lover’s interest.
“The festival draws approximately 50,000 visitors from across the world to Bardstown, Kentucky each year,” says Kentucky Bourbon Festival Executive Director Jill Hawkins. “However, we feel as if the storied history of distilling America’s native spirit should be celebrated accordingly, and often, not just once a year! We’re excited for past festival patrons, as well as new friends within the industry, to experience these exciting upcoming events. ”

Stave & Thief Certified Bourbon Steward Training:
WHAT: Facilitated by the Kentucky Bourbon Festival team, with curriculum developed by Moonshine University®, event-goers will experience an in-depth educational session pertaining to the intricacies of Bourbon. Those who attend will receive a Certified Bourbon Steward Handbook and the opportunity to earn a Stave & Thief Certified Bourbon Steward lapel pin. Light appetizers will be served. Ticket are $75 per person. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Magic Bourbon Dinner:
WHAT: Magic Bourbon Dinner is America’s only speakeasy magic dinner show. The evening will host a night of spellbinding entertainment, fine food, a private Bourbon museum tour, and premium spirit tastings on behalf of Heaven Hill Bourbon. Registration is required. Tickets are $100 per person. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Bourbon Capital® Mixed Drink Challenge:
WHAT: A competition of mixology skills between distilleries, restaurants, and bars. The winner’s entry will be named the Official Cocktail of the 2019 Kentucky Bourbon Festival. Attendees will have the opportunity to witness the creation and judgment of entries, as well as sample entries and dine on hors d’oeuvres. Registration is required. Tickets are $40 per person to attend. Entry fees for bars, restaurants, and distilleries are $50 per team. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.

Kentucky Bourbon Festival Barrel Selection:
WHAT: An exclusive opportunity to select the 2019 Kentucky Bourbon Festival® barrel. Attendees will be guided in their decision by partners from Barton 1792 Distillery. The experience is inclusive of transportation to Bottle & Bond Kitchen and Bar, lunch, as well as six souvenir bottles* of the selected barrel. Registration is required. Tickets are $500 per person. Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
*Bottles of the selected barrel will be available for purchase during the 2019 Kentucky Bourbon Festival (September 18 through September 22).
