Log Still Distillery and Remington Unveil Remington Reserve Bourbon – “Open Season” – Now Available!

August 27, 2025

Gethsemane, KY – Log Still Distillery, in partnership with Remington, proudly announces the Kentucky-first release of Remington Reserve Bourbon – “Open Season”, a premium, proprietary blend of Kentucky and Tennessee bourbons crafted for those who rise before the sun, wait patiently in the woods, and celebrate a day well spent with a good story and a better pour.

Bottled at 86 proof in Gethsemane, Kentucky – The Heart of BourbonRemington Reserve honors the spirit of the hunt and the bonds it creates across generations. From the campfire to the back of a tailgate to the hunting lodge, this bourbon was built for sharing stories and toasting traditions.

“Remington has always been about traditions and legacy, and that’s exactly what we wanted to capture in this bottle,” said Denise Ingle, Chief Brand and Strategy Officer at Log Still Distillery. “The back label is more than a design element—it’s a place to record the hunts, the companions, and the stories that matter most. It’s about preserving the moments we share with our cherished ones and keeping those memories alive in a bottle.”

What Sets It Apart:

  • A premium proprietary blend of hand-selected Kentucky and Tennessee bourbons.
  • Full-bodied flavor with approachable sweetness, layered fruit notes, and oak depth.
  • Designed for sipping after a day in the field or around the fire.
  • Writable Memory Label – the back label features a dedicated space to record your hunt, your companions, and the moments worth remembering.
  • 86 Proof – a nod to 1816, the year Remington was founded, and America’s outdoor legacy began.
  • Each 6-pack case doubles as a collectible target.

“From the very first sip in our tasting panels, we knew this collaboration had to honor Remington’s legacy,” said Wally Dant, Founder of Log Still Distillery. “Together, we shaped a bourbon that balances strength and smoothness — just like the moments it’s meant to celebrate.”

Tasting Notes

Sweet almond, toasted grain, fresh apple, and a hint of brown sugar. Earthy oak, warm spice, whispers of summer berries, and a touch of honeyed sweetness lead to a smooth, mellow close reminiscent of a campfire’s final glow.
